Which One Is Right for You?
-
If you're on the market for a subcompact SUV that's equal parts sporty and style, then you've got quite a few options to pick from. There's a reason why SUVs accounted for almost half of all auto sales in 2020--more and more drivers are realizing there's no substitute for space! Two SUVs in particular, the 2022 Kia Seltos and the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer, have stood out from the rest of the pack.
-
Let's take a look at what makes these two subcompacts so special so you can see which one is best for you!
-
The 2022 Kia Seltos
-

Advantages: Most of the vehicle's safety tech comes standard, along with a majority of the vehicle's infotainment functions. There's plenty of passenger and cargo space available too! While all-wheel-drive doesn't come standard, it is available on most trims.

-

Considerations: For being such a large vehicle, the Kia Seltos comes with a noticeably weak base engine and unresponsive handling. Additionally, most of the vehicle's fancier driver-assistance features are locked behind higher trim levels. Finally, the Seltos is noticeably pricey for its list of constraints--with the standard trim listing far above the high-end trims for most of its competitors.

-
Verdict: If you can look past the price, the Kia Seltos is a perfectly serviceable SUV.
-
The 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer
-
Advantages: Drivers have plenty of engine choices beyond the mighty 1.3-liter turbocharged 3-cylinder that comes standard. This vehicle also boasts best-in-class interior space and most of the car's driver-assistance features--including its suite of safety tech--come standard.
-
Considerations: A lack of standard cruise control can be considered a sticking point for some drivers.
-
Verdict: Equal parts space, style, and swiftness, the Trailblazer's accomodating interior and flexible trim options make it an easy pick for most drivers. -
